In England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week, and suicide is the leading cause of death among men and women ages 20-34.

In this talk, I share:

  • Lived experience of Childhood Trauma, Depression, Anxiety and Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Being a woman of colour and queer, and how that has a big effect on how I access services

  • Recovery and healing is no linear journey

  • Balancing university, work, social life, relationships and how this can impact on mental health.

  • Practical self-care strategies for how to maintain good mental health

  • Where to seek support with your mental health, and how to tackle the stigmas
